The Gaudí Palace in Astorga is one of the very few works that the architect signed outside of Catalonia, and probably the one that the fewest people associate with his name. The meeting point is in front of the main entrance, at the time chosen. Tickets are purchased there, and you enter the building of the 19th century without further formalities. The guide specializes in history, and a large part of the tour answers a specific question: what was it about this commission that made Gaudí accept it, being so far from home? Several rooms of the palace are visited, including the chapel, the walkway along the wall, and the old wine cellar in the basement, which is one of the least expected parts of a bishop's palace. The tour also includes the Museum of the Ways, located within the building itself, with a collection of objects and works from different periods and styles. It lasts 50 minutes and ends at the entrance of the palace. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before.
