Entrance to the Palau de la Música: digital brochure or audio guide

Fifty minutes inside the Palau de la Música Catalana, without a group and without a guide, at your own pace. The hall was inaugurated on February 9, 1908, as the headquarters of the Orfeó Català, in Ciutat Vella, and was designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. It is the only concert hall in the world declared a World Heritage Site. What you will see: The stage and the seating area, with the lamp hanging directly below the central window of the ceiling. The organ, which immediately catches the eye upon entering. The rehearsal room of the Orfeó Català and the Lluís Millet hall, which overlooks a small terrace and has columns covered in colorful mosaics. It is also worth taking a closer look at the stalls, the amphitheater, the organ galleries, and the stained glass windows throughout the building: there is no neutral surface here.
