La Pedrera and Sant Pau: Gaudí and Domènech i Montaner

This package combines two tickets that are almost never purchased together, and they are precisely the ones that explain each other: Gaudí's Casa Milà and the Modernist Site of Sant Pau by Domènech i Montaner. At Casa Milà, better known as La Pedrera, the ticket includes an audio guide. The facade has not a single straight line, and the roof is populated with chimneys shaped like sentinels: it's Gaudí working with stone as if it were a soft material. At Sant Pau, you enter without queuing. Domènech i Montaner's hospital was designed with the idea that architecture and the garden were part of the treatment, and that's why it consists of separate pavilions among vegetation, rather than a single, closed block. Seeing them on the same day makes it clear that Catalan Modernism was not just one architect with a single idea. Neither of the two tickets allows for cancellation.
