Sagrada Família for children aged 5 to 10: a scavenger hunt featuring animals and colors
A visit to the Sagrada Família presented as a game, designed for families with children aged 5 to 10. It begins at the Nativity façade, where children search for hidden animals in the stone: a turtle, a lion. While they search, adults receive an explanation of why those animals are there and what they mean. Inside, the game changes. You have to count the giant columns and locate how many different colors the stained glass windows create on the floor, which, around mid-morning, becomes a map of light patches. At the Passion façade, the task is to find the carved soldiers, and there, adults focus on the dramatic aspects of the scenes. The games, stories, and activities keep the children engaged throughout the visit, which is the difference between a morning they will remember and an hour of boredom with their heads tilted back.

The visit to the Sagrada Família is designed as a family adventure. It's tailored for families with children aged 5 to 10 and combines stories, games, and activities that entertain the children while the adults learn about Gaudí's work.
Basílica de la Sagrada Familia
You start at the Nativity Façade, where kids turn into explorers and search for animals hidden in the stone: a turtle, a turkey, a dove and maybe even a lion. Meanwhile, adults learn why Gaudí filled his work with symbols drawn from nature. Inside, the basilica becomes a game of light and color. The sun streams through the stained glass in every shade of the rainbow, and families have to spot how many different colors they can find scattered across the floor. Then it's time to look up at Gaudí's forest: the challenge for kids is to count how many of those tree-shaped columns reach the floor. Meanwhile, adults see how the architect used light and space to create that sense of calm. The tour continues at the Passion Façade, where kids look for the soldiers carved in the stone. While they complete the challenge, adults hear what those scenes are and why they are told that way.
