Sagrada Familia visit with a climb to one of the towers, departing from Julià Travel
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
BarcelonaThe difference with this tour lies in the ending: when the guided portion ends, you take an elevator to one of the towers. Before that, the tour visits the building with a local guide. The explanation focuses on the symbolism, which is everywhere in the Sagrada Família, and on the way Gaudí copied solutions from nature to solve structural problems: the columns that branch out, the light that filters in. From the tower, you can see Barcelona from a height that is not accessible from any other point in the Eixample. The descent and the exploration of the tower are done independently.

Basílica de la Sagrada Familia
The tour begins at the office next to the Sagrada Família. There, an experienced guide meets the group and accompanies them on foot to the basilica. Once inside, the local guide reviews the history of the temple and explains its importance. The interior is full of symbols taken from nature. You can walk through the nave freely while the explanation is delivered through headphones. Then, there is time to examine the details, which is where you can see how the architecture and the religious aspects fit together. After the visit, you can stay inside and enter the museum, where an exhibition of drawings, models, and photographs tells the story of the basilica's construction and provides information about the life and career of Gaudí. Finally, the guide accompanies the group to the entrance of the elevator: the ascent to one of the towers is done independently, with a view of the entire city of Barcelona from above.
