Sant Pau Modernist Site: Free admission for visitors

Sant Pau is one of the most extensive Art Nouveau complexes in the world, and it remains one of the greatest works by Lluís Domènech i Montaner. The restoration that returned it to the public is one of the most important that has been carried out in Barcelona in recent years. The visit is self-guided and explores how the complex was conceived and built, and what is done there today: it functions as a center of knowledge with international projection, so the pavilions are not empty. What was here before also matters: it is one of the oldest medical institutions in Europe, and the building was designed to heal, not to be shown off.
