Two routes in one: the old city and modernism, starting and ending in the same place, and on foot. The first half is through the Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter), among narrow streets, courtyards, and squares that are not easily found on your own, with Roman remains, medieval churches, and the cathedral. You also pass through Las Ramblas and Plaça Reial. The second part goes up to Passeig de Gràcia, where Casa Batlló and Casa Milà are located. Both buildings can be seen from the street, without entering. Along the way, the guide provides the context that explains what you see: the history of the city, of Catalonia, and of Spain, as well as recommendations and the best spots for taking photos. It works well for short stays and for any type of group, from families to business or study trips. The starting point is on the sidewalk of Plaça de Catalunya, in front of the ticket office, and the guide carries a white umbrella.
