Once hours exploring Cantabria, encompassing prehistory and modernism, with departure and return in Santander. The meeting point is at the Maritime Station. At the beginning, a detailed itinerary for the day is provided, and access to multimedia content is given, so you don't have to rely on what you remember at each stop. Altamira At the first destination, there is free time to explore the town. The recommendation is the National Museum and Research Center of Altamira, with a full-size replica of the caves. The Paleolithic rock paintings of this site are among the most famous in the world, and it's interesting to note how they were discovered: in 1868, it was a chance discovery. Santillana del Mar They call it the town of three lies because it is neither holy, nor flat, nor does it have the sea. More free time to walk through its cobbled streets and see the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana and the Palace of Velarde. Along the way, you will receive information about the traditional sweets of the area and about the best photo spots. Comillas The last stage is an open-air architecture museum. After some free time for lunch, you will explore the modernist heritage: El Capricho de Gaudí, one of his few works outside of Catalonia, the Palace of Sobrellano, and the Pontifical University. The return is to Santander. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before.
