Comillas and El Capricho, accessible from Santander in just five hours

Half-day trip from Santander to visit El Capricho without having to dedicate the entire day. A total of five hours. It's about 45 minutes by car to Comillas. It's worth knowing that in the 20th century, the town became a summer destination for Castilian nobility, and that explains the amount of quality architecture that exists in a town of that size. The first visit is Villa Quijano, which everyone calls El Capricho. It belongs to Gaudí's orientalist phase and is one of the few buildings he designed outside of Catalonia. Two options: Without pickup and without panoramic tour: you must arrive at Calle Calderón de la Barca. After visiting El Capricho, you have free time to explore Comillas on your own. With pickup and panoramic tour: you will be picked up at your hotel in the center of Santander, or at another point indicated when booking if your accommodation is outside the city. This option includes a panoramic tour by minibus that passes by the sculpture of the Angel Exterminador, which overlooks the old cemetery, and gets close to the Fuente de los Tres Caños (Fountain of the Three Pipes).
