Free guided tour of Park Güell (entrance fee not included)

First of all, the fact that decides the booking: entry to Park Güell is not included. You have to buy it separately on the official website, and it's best to do so a few days in advance because tickets sell out. The group meets on Carretera del Carmel, at the time you choose. Inside, the first stop is the Dragon Stairway, with the stories attached to it and the photo everyone takes. Then you continue toward the Hypostyle Room, the forest of columns that holds up the square above. What gets explained along the way is the symbolism: the park contains references to Greek mythology, alchemy, religion and the Catalan Renaixença, and without that thread the place is just a garden of colors and undulating shapes. The park is a World Heritage Site and one of the most recognized expressions of Art Nouveau in Barcelona. The tour lasts about an hour and a half. For organizational reasons, the order of the stops may vary. If you cancel after the booking is confirmed, a percentage of the amount is refunded. No-shows are not refunded.
