Gaudí Walking Tour (2.5 hours), in English: from Plaça Reial to the basilica
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
BarcelonaTwo and a half hours on foot, exploring Barcelona through the works of Antoni Gaudí, following his career in chronological order. The meeting point is Plaça Reial, next to La Rambla, where the architect received one of his first commissions. From there, you walk to Palau Güell, the house he built for the industrialist Eusebi Güell, and you can observe its facade. A short metro ride takes you to Passeig de Gràcia, where Casa Batlló and Casa Milà, La Pedrera, are located, viewed from the street. Here, you can recognize his signature elements: the undulating forms inspired by nature, the mosaic work, and the twisted wrought iron of the balconies. Another short metro ride brings you to the Sagrada Família. Construction began in 1882 and continued even after Gaudí's death in 1926. The temple encapsulates everything that came before and takes it even further. The tour is conducted in English.

La Mansana de la Discòrdia
The "Apple of Discord," located on Passeig de Gràcia, brings together three very different buildings that are situated next to each other: Casa Batlló, Casa Amatller, and Casa Lleó Morera. It was the result of a competition among architects, and this is evident in each facade.
Casa Batlló
Casa Batlló was completed by Gaudí in 1906. The facade, with its color and shapes, is unlike anything else on the street. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Passeig de Gràcia
Passeig de Gràcia is the city's main avenue, featuring shops, cafes, and, above all, the highest concentration of modernist architecture, with Casa Batlló and Casa Milà being the most prominent examples.
La Pedrera - Casa Mila
Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, is a work by Antoni Gaudí: its facade features undulating stone, wrought-iron balconies, and a rooftop that functions as a sculpture garden. It was built in 1912 and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Basílica de la Sagrada Familia
The Sagrada Família is Antoni Gaudí's masterpiece and the building that defines Barcelona. It blends Gothic and Modernist styles, construction began in 1882, and it is still under construction. Outside, you can see the towers and the symbolic sculptures; inside, the light that streams through the stained-glass windows transforms the space throughout the day.
