Palau de la Música, without queues, with the hall in use

Skip-the-line entry to the Palau de la Música Catalana, the concert hall that is among the finest things Modernisme left in Barcelona. The first thing that makes you look up is the ceiling: an enormous stained-glass skylight that fills the center of the auditorium and lets light down onto the seats. All around, carvings and reliefs cover every available surface, which is how this building understands a wall. During the visit you learn the history of the hall and how it was built. And there is something you cannot book but that sometimes happens: the Palau still has a full program, so you may coincide with a rehearsal or a live performance. Hearing the hall in use is something else entirely compared with seeing it in silence. This ticket cannot be canceled.
