The park was originally conceived as something else: Eusebi Güell wanted a closed residential area for wealthy families, and what remains of that project is the public park that is visited today, with its fairytale buildings and paths along the hillside. With the guide, you will visit the dragon staircase, the undulating bench in the upper square, and the Hypostyle Hall, with its tilted columns. You will also see the Jardins d'Àustria and the viewpoints from which you can see the entire city of Barcelona. A practical note that is worth reading: Park Güell has four different entrances, and the group departs from only one. You must go to Carretera del Carmel, 23, and arrive 15 minutes early. The guide will be carrying a sign that says "Golden Tourist Guide."

The guide explains it from the outside, talking about Gaudí's life and the years he spent in that house, so that everyone can decide whether to visit it on their own later. The guided tour continues through the rest of the park.
