Private bike rental (3 hours): From the lampposts in Plaça Reial to the Palau de la Música

Modernism is what gives Barcelona its character, and by bike, you can visit buildings in a single morning that would take half an hour to walk between. This private tour starts at Plaça Reial, near the fountain, where you'll find the lampposts that were Gaudí's first public commission. From there, you'll visit Palau Güell, the cathedral, Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, and the Sagrada Família. But it's not all Gaudí. You'll also see the Palau de la Música Catalana, Casa Amatller, and Casa de les Punxes, buildings by less-mentioned architects that are essential to understanding Modernism. The tour lasts about three hours, with plenty of stops for taking photos and for getting refreshments. The bikes are comfortable and easy to ride, the helmet is optional but recommended, and there are child seats available.
