A private tour of Park Güell, with a licensed guide dedicated solely to the group that books and skip-the-line access to the Monumental Zone. The park covers 17 hectares on the slope of the Carmel hill, with mosaics, stone viaducts and terraces hanging over Barcelona. It is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The guide tells you what isn't written on any sign: Count Güell's garden-city project that never became one, the engineering that made a rocky hillside habitable, and the Catalan symbolism scattered across the tiles. You take in the Dragon Stairway and the Hypostyle Room, with its columns lined up like tree trunks, and finish on the terrace with the undulating bench, with the city and the Mediterranean below. Since it's private, you stop wherever you like and ask about whatever interests you, without keeping pace with anyone else.
