Private tour with hotel pickup: Park Güell, Sagrada Família, and Iberian ham tasting
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
BarcelonaPrivate tour of Gaudí's two most important works, without queues, and with transportation arranged between the two locations. Pick-up is from the hotel. First, Park Güell, where Gaudí lived for years, including the main entrance, the stone viaducts, and the central square with the mosaic bench. Then, by vehicle, to the Sagrada Família: entry is without queuing, and the guide chooses the best time to be inside when the light from the stained glass windows is optimal. At the end, there is a drink and a tapa of Iberian ham with bread and tomato. The guides are local, officially licensed, specializing in Gaudí, and with more than fifteen years of experience. They speak English. This works well for couples, families with children, and cruise passengers with limited time ashore. The itinerary can be adjusted by writing in advance. A note about reservations: all sales are final, and there are no refunds in case of cancellation.

Park Güell
Start with an introduction to Park Güell, where the architect lived and which is now known for its mosaics and the view of Barcelona. The walk is peaceful and helps you understand how Gaudí envisioned architecture and life. You can see Gaudí's house, the stone viaducts that seem to grow out of the ground, and the central plaza, which is the heart of the park. In that plaza, the entire project is explained. There's time to sit on the bench, admire the variety of the mosaics up close, and take photos without rushing. At the main entrance, the guide deciphers the symbols hidden in the architecture. After the visit, it's time to see the Sagrada Família, Gaudí's masterpiece and the symbol of the city. A tip: booking for the afternoon avoids the busiest hours.
Basílica de la Sagrada Familia
It begins at a viewpoint, with a plaster model that serves as an introduction to the work. A good time for photos. You enter the basilica without a queue; it's the most visited monument in Spain and, when completed, it will be the tallest church in the world. What you see with the guide: The Nativity façade, a bible carved in stone, and the only one the architect completed. The interior, with its light, color, and acoustics. The guide knows the best time to enter. Then, the Passion façade and the status of the ongoing construction. You pass through the museum, where you understand why Gaudí's name is known throughout the world. Finish with a drink and a snack. A tip: the 3:00 PM time slot is the most relaxed.
