Exterior audio guide for the Sagrada Família: The three facades as seen from the street
A self-guided tour of the exterior of the Sagrada Família, with audio and text in seven languages right on your phone. There is no app to install: just open it and press play. The common thread is the three façades, which tell three different moments and look nothing alike. The Nativity Façade is packed with figures, plants and animals, and celebrates the birth of Christ. The Passion Façade, directly opposite, is stark and angular, and depicts suffering and the crucifixion. The Glory Façade, still under construction, will be the largest of the three and is dedicated to the path to salvation. Each is a different chapter told in stone, and seeing them one after another is the best way to understand the church without going inside. The tour ends at a specific spot chosen for taking the photo.
