Four-hour mosaic workshop: a longer session in the studio
The longest workshop session: four hours of working with Gaudí's mosaic, to take home the finished piece. In four hours, you can go from the first cut to the finished piece without skipping any steps: breaking the ceramic, composing the design with the pieces, gluing, letting it dry, and grouting. Short formats require accelerating some of those phases; that's not necessary here. In 2026, it will be one hundred years since the death of Antoni Gaudí. The workshop is led by Angelika Heinbach, who has been awarded the diploma of "Mestre Artesà divulgatiu" (Master Artisan for her work and her promotion of this craft), presented by the President of the Generalitat of Catalonia at the Palau de la Generalitat. In 2019, she collaborated with Casa Batlló within the UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers project, "The restoration of Casa Batlló, from the inside out."
