Two hours of exploring Modernism, followed by a workshop to create a mosaic with your own hands, using the same technique that Gaudí used. The tour starts on Passeig de Gràcia and connects Catalan medieval history with what inspired Gaudí and his contemporaries. Why is there a dragon on a roof, why did a bat decide a battle, where is the house of bones? From the floor tiles to the streetlights, everything has its explanation. The tour ends in El Born, at Angelika's workshop, where the practical part begins. The "trencadís" is made with broken pieces of glass and ceramic, and it is the technique that covers a large part of Gaudí's work. After a brief introduction, you will learn the basics and how to use the tools, and everyone will take their piece home: a refrigerator magnet or the lid of a box. The meeting point is in front of the pharmacy at La Pedrera.
