Sagrada Familia at sunset: group of nine people, with free time afterwards
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
BarcelonaWhat sets this tour apart from most is the group size. The cap here is nine people, not the twenty-five or more of large groups, where asking a question becomes an awkward chore. With the guide almost to yourself, you can interrupt, repeat a question, or ask them to go back over something. The commentary covers the history of the basilica and of Antoni Gaudí, who devoted the last years of his life to this project. The guide is officially licensed by the Generalitat de Catalunya. The timing is no accident. In the morning the glass on the east side washes the nave in blues and greens; when the sun moves to the west, the Passion Façade takes over and color travels across the stone in reds, oranges, and gold. This tour starts just as that shift begins. The work has been underway for more than 144 years and, still unfinished, remains the first thing people visit in Barcelona. In 2026, the centenary of Gaudí's death, the Tower of Jesus Christ was topped out at 172.5 meters: it is now the tallest church in the world. Four towers are still to be built, and the cranes are still up there. Your ticket is booked and paid for before you arrive. When the guided part ends, no one makes you leave: you can carry on by yourself and stay inside as long as you like. The meeting point is in front of the Hard Rock Shop at the Sagrada Família.

Basílica de la Sagrada Familia
Spain's most visited monument, and for many, the reason for visiting Barcelona. From the outside, the facades of the Nativity and the Passion, built a century apart, and above them, the Tower of Jesus Christ, now complete. Inside, you'll find the nave and the light that streams in through the glass on the west side. After the guided tour, you are free to stay inside for as long as you like.
