Sagrada Familia in 90 minutes with a local guide, skip-the-line access, and a rooftop terrace
Ratings collected by Viator and Tripadvisor
BarcelonaAn hour and a half with a local guide, in a group of no more than 30 people, and skip-the-line entry. The Sagrada Família is unlike any other building, and the guide's explanation goes straight to that: how it was built, where Gaudí got his ideas and what technical problems he had to solve to raise it. With that information in front of you, the artistic detail stops being decoration and starts to make sense. The guided tour gives access to areas not open to the general public, such as the terrace with views over Barcelona. And there is the practical matter: the entrance line, which in high season eats up part of the day, simply doesn't exist here.

The meeting point is at Avinguda de Gaudí, 1, next to the Fanal Modernista, a tall lamppost with a stone base that is located between the KFC and the Hard Rock. There, under the lamppost, look for a red flag with the text "4U".
Basílica de la Sagrada Familia
The construction of the Sagrada Família began in 1882, under the direction of the architect Francisco de Paula del Villar. When Villar resigned in 1883, Antoni Gaudí took over as chief architect and completely changed the project, blending Gothic forms with the modernist curve. He dedicated the rest of his life to it and is buried in the crypt. When he died in 1926, hit by a tram, less than a quarter of it was finished. The basilica is still under construction: it reached the halfway point in 2010, and the current estimate is 2026, the centenary of his death. The tour delves into the challenges, secrets, and stories of a church considered the most personal interpretation of Gothic architecture since the Middle Ages. After the visit, you can enter the museum dedicated to the construction of the temple.
