The Gaudí that you won't find on postcards: Colònia Güell, Bellesguard, and Casa Vicens
Six hours of a private tour of Gaudí's buildings that most people don't get to see, with a guide specializing in his work. The first stop is outside of Barcelona: the Colònia Güell, a 19th-century industrial colony built to house the workers of a factory, with its crypt. That crypt is more important than it seems: Gaudí used it as a testing ground for the solutions he later applied to the Sagrada Família. You're also served lunch there, with tapas at a restaurant in the town. Next, the Torres de Bellesguard, where Gaudí mixed neo-Gothic forms with his own language. The last stop is the Casa Vicens, the first house he designed. These are three important and little-visited buildings, which you can explore without the crowds of the city center.
